It is an exciting time to join the Transport Infrastructure and Services team as we help to deliver a modern dynamic and safe transport network.   We are currently delivery a program of work that will revolutionise the way we travel around the NSW Community.  Within TfNSW, our Infrastructure & Services group provides integrated end-to-end planning, development, delivery of transport assets, and operations of transport services that our customers value. We transform strategy into seamless transport networks and services, efficiently and effectively.



The Opportunity


We have a temporary opportunity for a Senior Regional Support Officer to be a part of our Rural & Regional Service Delivery & Performance team, initially on a part-time, job-sharing arrangement until December 2018.   This role could be perfect for someone who then, from January 2019, will be available to work up to 12 months on a Temporary Full Time contract thereafter.
 

The primary purpose of the role is to provide high level senior financial and administrative support and assistance to ensure effectively delivery of business outcomes. One of the key accountabilities of the Senior Regional Support Officer will be to undertake an array of administrative and support duties to meet the business needs of the unit.

 

We are looking for a meticulous and driven individual who has the capability to keep abreast of current and emerging best practice including Government policy and statutory requirements; and has experience in building collaborative working relationships.  This role plays a key part in the effective management of the procurement, performance and delivery of customer, service and asset outcomes of Rural and Regional services including bus service contracts and Community Transport services. This role reports to the Principal Manager Southern.

We require the successfully appointed candidate to initially uptake this as a temporary part-time role from 3 September 2018 until 31 December 2018.  Part time hours will be for 14 hours one week and 21 hours the alternative.  From the 1 January 2019 to the 31 December 2019 the role will be available as a temporary full time position to cover maternity leave.

 

This position may result in sourcing a high number of successful candidates; suitable candidates may be entered into a recruitment pool established to fill future resource needs.

Essential requirements
