Providential Homes is a Christian faith based, not-for-profit, charitable organisation that specialises in providing emergency accommodation for those in necessitous or crisis circumstances.

A fantastic position has opened up for a PA / Receptionist. The position is permanent part time, 25 hours per week over 5 days. The role will be to manage the front desk at one of our South-West Sydney offices, providing administrative assistance to our management team.

The role includes:

  • Provide PA support to Management Team
  • Use of our cloud-based systems overseeing guest movements and accounts
  • Updating people accounts and systems
  • Maintaining the Management Team office calendars
  • Co-ordinating mail outs, newsletter distribution, reports, etc
  • Overseeing management of stock of office supplies
  • Working with Administration and Bookings teams in other offices to coordinate day-to-day operations, ordering of stock, Manager calendars, etc 
  • General scanning, filing and other administrative tasks
  • Other duties where required as agreed between Employer and Employee
  • Respecting the confidentiality of our guests, volunteers and staff including records and discussions pertaining to personal circumstances, etc

This role will be based out of our Regional Offices in South-West Sydney.

Applicants should ideally have the following:

  • A strong commitment to both the Mission and Vision Statements and to the values of Providential Homes
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, including excellent phone manner.
  • Efficient time management skills to work within time frames and busy schedules
  • High level of computer skills and understanding, including use in variety of software (use of both Mac and PC preferable)
  • Professional presentation
  • Energetic and innovative
  • Self-motivated and able to work autonomously and independently
  • Outgoing, friendly personality and relationship building expertise. Must love working with people!
  • Excellent reporting skills
  • Previous experience in similar position advantageous
  • On the job training will be provided
