About the role
We have a residential opportunity to join our Mobile Equipment Maintenance team at our Mount Whaleback site, based in Newman. Our Data Entry Administrator will play a key role in ensuring compliance is achieved within the site through the recording of information in our internal systems, enabling accurate reporting to occur, while supporting the team with any administrative requirements. We are seeking an individual who is committed to reducing workplace risk through active participation in behaviour based safety programs, whilst contributing to a productive & healthy team culture. This position will be offered on our lifestyle friendly residential roster (5x2).
Reporting to the Supervisor within the Mobile Equipment Maintenance team your duties will include:
- Record all asset and contractor based information into our in-house systems with exceptional attention to detail
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders in a clear and concise fashion
- Identify opportunities for simplification within the process
- Escalate issues of non-conformance
- Actively participate in maintaining appropriate standards of behaviour
Location
You will be based in Newman, Western Australia. You will be working at the closely located ‘Mount Whaleback’ mine site, which at more than five kilometres long and nearly 1.5 kilometres wide is the biggest single-pit open-cut iron ore mine in the world. The 7,000 strong population of Newman enjoys well-established town facilities including a newly revitalised town centre and sporting facilities. As a gateway to the Karijini national park, you will be in close proximity to spectacular gorges, water courses and stunningly unique landscapes. The residential positions will also be provided with subsidised rental accommodation in addition to power and water subsidies.
As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:
- A safety focused individual who is comfortable working in a fast paced environment
- Flexible, team-orientated approach with strong communications skills
- Proactive and independent self-starter who is able to prioritise their tasks and clarify requirements when appropriate
- Demonstrated ability to work with multiple databases and platforms
- An intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel)
- SAP experience, while not mandatory, would be an advantage
