THE COMPANY
GP Access is a nationally recognised not-for-profit primary care organisation, delivering after hours medical services across the Hunter region. They are currently experiencing a period of growth, and are now seeking to expand their frontline administration team with the addition of 10 x Administration Officers to work shifts across their 5 clinics, located at Maitland, Toronto, Belmont, Calvary Mater and John Hunter Hospitals.
THE POSITIONS
As the first point of contact for patients visiting the clinics, the Administration Officers’ core responsibilities will be as follows:
- Ensuring accurate data entry of patient medical records, efficient patient registration, accurate patient billing, coordination of clinic appointments and patient focused customer service.
- Provide a customer focused, effective and quality health care service alongside an integrated multidisciplinary team consisting of General Practitioners, Administration Officers and RNs.
- On occasion, fill shifts within the GP Access Contact Centre to assist callers, identify their needs and direct them to qualified RNs.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATES
Our preferred candidates will:
- Be available to work a rotating roster incorporating weeknights, weekends and public holidays
- Be experienced in providing high levels of confidential customer service, ideally within a medical environment
- Have the ability to work independently
- Have advanced computer skills across various software packages, including excellent data entry speed and accuracy
- Be available to work shifts across all 5 clinics - Maitland, Toronto, Belmont, Calvary Mater and John Hunter.
Suitable candidates will be required to complete a digital interview and computer skills assessment as the next step.
Successful candidates will be required to undertake a criminal history check, obtain a Working With Children Check, and must be willing to obtain a First Aid Certificate and CPR Certification prior to commencement.
