Hastings Technology Metals is an ASX listed, exploration and development company that is currently concentrating its efforts on two rare earth projects in W.A. The role of Lead Document Controller plays a key role in ensuring that document control systems are set up and implemented in line with industry best practice, to support the project team.

Key Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to the following:

•           Develop and implement systems and processes to ensure all documentation is presented in line with industry best practice;

•           Development and implementation of Document Control Procedure and Templates for the Project;

•           Carryout document control functions; i.e. document registration, issue of document numbers superseding and revision control, tracking, filing, retrieval, scanning, photocopying, transmission and disposal etc;

•           Management of external and internal transmittals;

•           Management of electronic and hard copy filing of project related data and technical documentation;

•           Management and creation of processes and workflows;

•           Ensures all project documentation meets the required standards;

•           Ensures the promotion and awareness of documentation requirements throughout the organisation;


Key Skills and experience required:

•           5+ years solid document control experience within a resources, engineering or similar environment;

•           Working knowledge of various Document Management Systems such as Teambinder, Aconex, QDMS, SharePoint, ProjectWise;

•           Strong Microsoft Office skills in Excel, Word and Outlook;

•           High attention to detail;

•           Positive can-do attitude;

•           Excellent written and verbal communication skills

•           Willingness to undertake additional tasks to contribute to team success; and
