Multiple roles available in cyber policy space within a highly sought after Federal Government department.

Your new company
This Federal Government department is responsible fore creating the policies and programs that protect our National Security. A new agency is being created that will be crucial in the development and implementation of cyber crime in relation to the protection of individuals. Due to new cyber crime units being opened nationally, experienced policy officers are needed to join a dedicated team in the Department.

Your new role
You’ll be in a small team of passionate individuals where you will prepare strategic policy advice, engage in research, stakeholder consultation and legislative policy development, to provide key recommendations.
You will assist in delivering complex cyber initiatives in a fast-paced environment, constantly reacting to current affairs. You’ll work under a supportive Division Manager to help deliver and develop strategic cyber policy.

What you'll need to succeed
Prior experience in federal policy and background in the APS will be critical as will:

• Strong researching ability and experience with high level written briefs.
• Scoping policy issues and employing high level research and analysis techniques
• The development and implementation of policy options through delivering high quality briefing and ministerial correspondence
• Engage successfully with a wide range of Industry and Government stakeholders
• Have well developed written skills and have experience preparing a wide range of policy documentation in Government
• Prior policy experience

A background in cyber security, cyber crime or policing is an advantage but not essential.

You must be an Australian citizen and possess or be willing to go through the process to obtain and maintain a NV1 personnel security clearance.
