This is an exciting dual role position with a leading edge Chartered Accounting firm situated in the Wollongong CBD. Our clients are predominantly SMEs and sophisticated investors. As assisting accountant, you will be working with our team to provide virtual administration, bookkeeping accounting and CFO services to a small group of SME clients and related party entities. These services will predominantly be provided from our office but regular client visits to work on site will be required so use of a car and drivers licence is essential. 

As practice manager your overall responsibility will be to ensure the smooth running of the firm to achieve its KPIs by implementing, monitoring and reporting regularly on KPIs to the practice principal. This will include all facets of internal bookkeeping, accounting and management reporting for the trading entity and related party entities.? 
 
As the successful applicant you will ideally be a CA or CPA with a minimum 2 years previous experience as an assisting accountant or practice manager preferably in an accounting firm. It is essential you are IT savvy with a "thirst and hunger" to investigate, take up and use cloud computing technology. As a bare minimum you must be proficient in Office 365; MS Word, Excel and Outlook. Ideally you will also be proficient in Xero and Xero Practice Manager but other accounting software and practice management software will suffice until retrained.  

This position will initially require five days per week for about three to six months but may subsequently scale back to a fixed minimum 3 to 4 days per week with the intention to grow the position to full time. Remuneration will be in accordance with the industry, negotiated subject to experience and qualification.
