Located on the scenic Mornington Peninsula, the Sorrento Golf Club aims to be ‘the Club of Choice on the Mornington Peninsula’. An exciting opportunity exists within our administration team to work full time on a 12 month maternity leave position. As the Member Services/Administration Assistant, you will be the ‘face of the Club’, acting as the first point of contact for all member and guest enquiries in the administration department. You will be working in a dynamic, busy environment, where a strong focus will be on providing all Members and Guests with exceptional service. You will also manage all new Member applications, facilitate all necessary correspondence, interviews, reviews and other procedures throughout the membership application process in addition to assisting with the Clubs communication program.

A brief summary of tasks include:-

Administration

  • Acting as the first point of contact for all Member enquiries in relation to services, bookings and events
     
  • Answering all incoming telephone calls and responding to e-mails
     
  • Providing daily support to the General Manager, Full Committee and Sub-Committees through the undertaking of a wide variety of administrative duties
     
  • General day to day administrative tasks, such as mail, filing, preparation of letters, e-mails and administrative set-up and preparation of Club functions from time to time
     
  • Financial tasks including receipting, invoicing and reconciling Member account
  •  
  • Membership
  • Facilitate the membership process, including managing new member applications, preparation of reports for Committee, managing all communication with Sponsors and arranging member interviews
     
  • Handle all general membership enquiries
     
  • Administer and communicate all membership transfers
     
  • Manage the Clubs waiting list

Communication

  • Assist with the internal marketing of events held at the Club
     
  • Facilitate regular e-news campaigns to Members and updating of Club website

Knowledge & Experience:-

  • A proven track record in a service based role, preferably in a Club environment
     
  • Strong administration/office experience with exceptional communication skills
     
  • Computer proficiency - experience with 'MiClub' programs would be advantageous but not necessary
     
  • Proven experience with the creation and delivery of communication programs using a variety of methods

Hours of Work:

The role is full time Monday to Friday, generally 9am - 5pm however flexibility with hours can be discussed with the successful applicant. The role will commence on Monday 8th October, 2018 and will be for a period of 12 months (maternity leave position).
