The role

The role is a flexible part-time role (average 3 days per week). You will coordinate client intake and provide administrative support to Bayley House across Day Services and Accommodation Services to ensure the continued smooth delivery of services for clients and their families. The Intake Coordinator will focus on developing strong relationships with new and existing clients and their family, implement and enter NDIS Service Agreements into our systems and support the transition of clients into the service. In addition, the Intake Worker will liaise with feeder schools to develop ongoing intake partnerships.

 

About you

You will have excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, enabling you to communicate effectively representing Bayley House to key clients, families and the community.

 

This specialist role is required to have significant experience working within the disability sector, a working knowledge of the Disability Act, NDIS Act and Standards.

                                            

  • You will work closely with our Day Services and Accommodation teams as well as Finance, build relationships internally and externally, resolve issues and promote the service to new service users; including at conferences and expo’s.
  • Knowledge of disability support packages, including ability to assist clients develop a plan that includes their goals, strengths needs and wishes and any necessary support needs recommended for funding.
  • A sound financial acumen to navigate the NDIS price guide, apply category descriptors and build plans in line with goals and service offerings.  
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of the issues, impacts and evidence based interventions for those with a disability.
  • Advanced computer skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Office, email, databases and web based applications.

  • Demonstrated experience dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability with regards to changing work priorities and activities.
  • Tertiary qualification in Health, Disability, Business and or related profession.
  • Current drivers licence and willingness to travel.
  • Current First Aid & CPR, or willingness to obtain.
