Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced permanent full time Community Engagement Advisor to join the Community Development and Partnerships Group, based in Gladstone.
The purpose of this position is to coordinate and manage key streams of community engagement across the Gladstone Region to ensure a strategic and integrated approach that delivers on Council’s objectives to build community capability, awareness and resilience.
About you
- Bachelor Degree of Public Relations, Stakeholder Relations (or related discipline) and demonstrated significant experience in community engagement.
- High level communication (verbal and written English) skills, particularly in business writing.
- Demonstrated experience managing internal and external engagement and/or partnership teams for a large organisation.
- Proven consistent and sound judgement and ethical behaviour in developing innovative solutions.
- High level organisation and prioritisation skills, along with well refined analytical skills and initiative.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and operating corporate business systems.
- Legally able to drive a motor vehicle in Queensland.
