About the role

Employment Advisors assist job seekers with a disability, injury or health condition who need assistance to find a job and occasional support in the workplace to seek, gain and maintain sustainable employment through supporting them to manage their vocational and non-vocational barriers to employment.

A key part of their role involves conducting assessments to determine job seeker needs and developing and maintaining strong working relationships with assigned job seekers to help them find meaningful, sustainable employment. In addition to these case management responsibilities Advisors are also required to undertake a range of job seeker marketing and promotion activities including job referrals and interview coaching activities for individuals or target groups. Travelling within the service region is required.

About You

Ideal candidates will have experience in working with vulnerable people and/or people with disabilities and likely come from disability employment, job services, recruitment or case management background. We look for people who are passionate about the sector and who can engage and build rapport with people from a wide range of life experiences and cultural backgrounds. In addition to strong people skills you will need good computer and administration skills and be prepared to work in compliance, target driven environment.
