The Role

Dynamic community sector leader wanted!

We are seeking a Program & Practice Coordinator who will be responsible for the human services staff working in our Charleville and Cunnamulla Offices.  You will work with a skilled team delivering a range of programs that provide counselling, support and services to individuals, families, children and young people. 

We require a strong leader who has experience managing a diverse team.  The successful applicant will be able to provide support and direction to a multi-disciplinary team of staff engaged in delivering a range of community, support and mental health services.  This is a unique opportunity for someone wanting to rapidly increase their professional development experience that working in a remote area such as this can provide.  The skills and experience that you would gain in a role such as this could vastly increase your employment potential into the future and offer you an opportunity to experience outback Queensland.

Key Selection Criteria

  • A degree in the Human Services field would be preferable however we would consider applications demonstrating other skills and experience with at least two years of successful community sector management experience.  
  • Demonstrated high level leadership skills in the areas of program/project management.
  • Demonstrated skill and ability in providing professional supervision to staff.
  • Strong demonstrated experience managing the complex challenges presenting to NGOs delivering programs in an environment of sustained growth and rapid change, often across a diverse geographical area. 
  • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to the principles and practices of Employment Equity, Ethical Conduct and Work Health & Safety.
  • Demonstrated good communication skills both verbal and written, with an emphasis on effective interpersonal skills negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively support the Values, Principles and Purposes of LDDSQWL.
  • Current Queensland "C" class drivers licence.
