About Us:
St Louis is a private non-denominational organisation that has been providing aged care services to the community since 1946.
The St Louis Home Care team is a professional, passionate and dedicated group focused on providing the highest possible standard of in-home care for our clients. We work in cooperation with clients and their families to provide individualised care services in clients own homes.
About the Role:
The successful applicant will work directly with clients in their own homes, assisting with all activities of daily living in accordance with established consumer directed care plans. Tasks include personal care, social support, medication assistance, meal preparation, domestic assistance, transport services, support for appointments.
About You:
You will have a genuine commitment to the elderly and value their role in society. Selection of staff is based on qualifications, competency and character.
To be successful in your application you will need:
- Certificate III in Aged care
- A polite manner and a passion for service to older members of the community;
- Knowledge of Consumer Directed Care principles;
- Reliability and flexibility to work across a 7 day roster
- A strong command of English
- Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
- Proven ability to work autonomously
- Commitment to further undertake in-house education and training
- National Police Clearance for Aged Care
- Full driver's licence,
- Roadworthy & comprehensive vehicle
- willingness to travel across metropolitan Adelaide as required to meet client needs
Whilst this is a casual position with no guarantee of hours, successful applicants demonstrating strong customer focus, flexibility, initiative and willingness to work in accordance with St Louis policies and procedures will be provided with significant opportunities.
