This leading community service organisation provides support to families and children in the Sydney region.
Role
As an assessment officer you will be working with a range of people to identify if they are suitbale to become carers for children and young people. Your role will take you across Sydney and into the lives of individuals and families. You will be required to make decisions as to their suitability and having difficulty conversations around what is needed to advance in the application process. You will work with various stakeholders to ensure this service goes from strength to strength. Having excellent communication skills is key in this role and having the ability to work autonomously is very important.
Qualifications
In order to be considered for these roles you will require;
- Third level qualification in a relevant field (Social Work, Psychology).
- Demonstrated experience working with foster families.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation related to adoptions.
- OOHC experience
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Proven high level written, verbal and electronic communicational skills.
- Drivers Licence.

This role is available immediately and will be filled quickly. It is initially a contract role but may extend after the 12 months.
