CatholicCare is looking for an experienced ATOD Case Manager to work within a dynamic team of specialist workers providing direct service delivery in the form of specialist AOD interventions. The Role

The primary objective of this position is to improve alcohol and other drugs (AOD) treatment service outcomes across the ACT by engaging hard to reach clients and building linkages across the broader AOD treatment sector, primary and allied health services and emergency services including police, ambulance and hospital staff.

The AOD Case Manager will provide strengths-based case management via assertive outreach to individuals aged 16 years and over with AOD issues. In addition, the AOD Case Manager will engage in collaborative care planning and coordination with the client, provide client-centred support and advocacy, facilitate appropriate referrals and deliver evidence-based interventions.

Selection Criteria:

The ideal person we are looking for has:

•          Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related field and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the AOD/Community sector working with vulnerable and at risk clients

•          Demonstrated understanding of the client group and their needs

•          Ability to liaise and advocate with various stakeholders

•          Highly developed problem solving skills

•          Demonstrated capacity for sound work organisation and effective use of time

•          High standard of written and verbal communication skills

•          Demonstrated awareness of the relevant principles and practices such as EEO, OH&S, Confidentiality and Duty of Care,

 

 

You will also be required to undergo a National Police Check.

 

To be considered for this role you will be also required to hold:

·         a current drivers licence, and

·         a Working with Vulnerable People Card
