What does a typical work day look like?
It will depend on which service you work in, the person you are supporting, and which shared interests you both enjoy. Do you want to assist an individual with attending swimming lessons? Or watch a football game with them or utilise your cooking skills to help and contribute to an individual's healthy eating, well-being, or even contribute to cultural cuisine promotion? Every day will be different, exciting, and rewarding, particularly if you have shared interests and are eager to assist our NDIS Clients' to meet their personal goals.
Requirements
About YOU:
> Cert IV in Disability or relevant and/or equivalent experience as a DSW, PCA or similar;
> Reliability and flexibility – capacity to adapt to changing environment;
> Friendliness, empathy and proactive with a genuine intention to work with people with disability;
> Current police check (less than 6 months old);
> Working with Children Check;
> Current First Aid level 2;
> Current CPR (annual);
> Manual handling training;
> Administration of medication training;
> International police check (if applicable);
> DWES check consent.
