Where you come in:
In this part-time, maximum term position (12 hours over 2 days a week, for 2 years) you will collaborate with the Port Lincoln Play2Learn team to deliver the Play2Learn program, promoting positive approaches to parenting and family wellbeing. You will strengthen links to the community and develop confidence in the support network we are proud to deliver. You will be based in our Port Lincoln office and report to our Team Leader for Early Childhood and Parenting.
You will make an impact by:
- Providing community-based group support to families, using a child centred approach
- Building strong, lasting connections with people from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds
- Supporting families to access the assistance they need, when they need it
- Actively encouraging vulnerable or service-averse families to engage with our programs
- Working collaboratively with program partners
- Collecting and recording data and information for accountability, evaluation and reporting

… You are truly passionate about standing up for children. You are experienced in early intervention, community-based programs, family support and casework. The ability to think on your feet will see you find flexible solutions to complex situations. You have strong cultural knowledge, empathy, a ‘can-do attitude’ and most importantly, an infectious enthusiasm for your job.
This role requires:
- Tertiary qualification/s in Social Work or related discipline.
- Proven understanding and experience in community-based and outreach family casework.
- Highly developed relationship building and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary, mobile team.
- Well-developed time management, data collection and reporting skills.
