Our existing Sydney sites spread from Windsor down to Nowra, and from Penrith to Ashfield with further expansion plans for 2018, and in Queensland we have sites in Beenleigh, Waterford, Southport with many more to follow.  We currently have a total staff of +-1500 employees, employed in full-time, part-time and casual capacities and we support over 2,500 clients daily.

About the opportunity
Due to our decision to strategically expand across Queensland,, we are now looking to appoint an additional  Team Leader who is not only experienced but also passionate.This is an administration focused role due to the on-going rollout of the NDIS, along with management of site, staff and clients. To highlight a few of your daily and weekly responsibilities:

  • Invoicing and administration for NDIS clients
  • Manage the day to day operations of the site
  • Budget management
  • NDIS meetings with families, carers and potential clients to discuss needs and packages
  • Manage and support your direct reports and subordinate staff.
  • Contribute to quality and continuous business improvement.
  • Oversee the Individual Lifestyle Planning process and client support.
  • Co-ordinate case management for clients as required.
  • Promote positive family and community relationships.
  • Manage and co-ordinate all site administrative processes and assets.
  • Provide support to the District Manager for your region.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy workplace by implementing and adhering to all Afford WHS policies and procedures.

About the candidate
As this is a client facing and administrative position, it is very important that the successful candidate not only displays the qualities needed for a Team Leader, but that they have proven skills and experience in the following:

  • Qualification in Disability - minimum Cert IV in Community Services / Disability or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 / 3 years experience in a supervisory capacity within disability services
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the NDIS
  • Previous experience in managing and supervising staff
  • Genuine interest in working with people with disabilities
  • Experience in working with clients with complex and challenging needs
  • Previous experience in developing, planning and implementing Individual Lifestyle Plans
  • Ability to build and work in a tight knit team,
  • Strong administrative skills - Invoicing, reporting, managing budgets and rosters etc
  • Effective and clear communication skills - both written and verbal
  • A clean, unrestricted VIC drivers licence
