What we are looking for?
ACARES is looking for passionate and committed Disability Support Workers to join our organisation. We are keen to speak to people that are interested in establishing a career within the dynamic disability sector.
We have a great opportunity to take on regular, ongoing shifts in the Port Macquarie area supporting a client within their own home. Shifts are available Monday to Sunday.
Support your client with personal care, community access, meal preparation, bowel care, therapy support and domestic duties.
Mandatory requirements:
- National police check
- Employee working with children check
- Current first aid and CPR certificates
- Certificate IV Disability
Highly desirable:
- Previous experience working with clients with spinal cord injuries
- Experience with bowel care
- Comfortable working in a home and community care environment
