Our Centre for Women's, Children's and Family Health in Campbelltown supports women and families particularly those affected by domestic violence, to make positive, safe and informed choices. We use a trauma informed, strengths based approach and integrated, wrap around service model.

Your new role:

The Case Manager, Staying Home Leaving Violence (SHLV), is responsible for the delivery of high quality case management services that -

  • Focus on early intervention, which prevent homelessness and support women and children to experience long term stability in housing, income, employment, education, and social support networks.
  • Provide comprehensive risk assessment and safety planning, case plans and education to women and children affected by domestic violence, which assists them to remain safely in their home of choice and free from domestic violence over time.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative partnerships and networks with key stakeholders to ensure effective service referral pathways to facilitate women's ability to stay home safely after separation from domestic violence.

You will support women and their children to overcome the effects of trauma, domestic violence, sexual assault, grief and loss and other women's health issues. Working in a multidisciplinary team, you will undertake an initial assessment; provide high quality case management, crisis support and therapeutic group work.

Terms: Maximum term part time role based in our Centre for Women's, Children's and Family Health in Campbelltown

What you need to succeed?

You will be a Counsellor, Psychologist, Case Worker or Social Worker with:

  • Experience supporting working with families affected by trauma, DV, mental health or other forms of adversity ideally in a counselling setting
  • A trauma informed strengths based approach to working with clients
  • A clear understanding of child protection issues and mandatory reporting responsibilities
  • Excellent time management and organising skills to balance competing demands
  • Ability to provide outstanding service to our clients in a positive, respectful and culturally sensitive way
  • Relevant tertiary (degree) qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Art Therapy or related field
