We are currently recruiting for casual residential youth workers. Working as part of a supportive team you will be providing support to clients within the area of residential care. These roles involve working with clients from a strength-based perspective and providing therapeutic practices to assist children/adolescents to achieve positive outcomes.

Shift work includes morning, afternoon, evening, weekend and sleepover shifts.

On offer:

• $24-$30 p/h Mon - Fri

• $48 p/h - Sun

• $67 p/h- Pub Hol

• Flexible working hours

You will be:

• Assisting clients with daily living skills

• Carrying out behavioural intervention support plans and maintaining consistency with client schedules.

• Preparing meals and carrying out client care plans

• Coping empathically with challenging behaviours

• Giving emotional support to clients / demonstrating positive role modelling for clients

Essential Criteria:

• Demonstrated experience within the area of residential OOHC

• Prior experience working with survivors of complex childhood trauma

• Minimum Cert IV in the area of social work / psychology or other

• Valid WWCC

• Valid Police Check (Within the past 12 months)

• Ability to work therapeutically with complex clients

• Passion for working with children

• Valid Drivers Licence

Desirable Criteria

• Access to a motor vehicle
• Fully comprehensive motor vehicle insurance
• Completed Bachelors Degree/ being in the process of completing a bachelors degree
