The Service Manager PIR will lead the Neami staff team and work within a collaborative team approach.  The position is supported by regular opportunities to reflect upon practice and access comprehensive training and development.

By using a community development approach, the Service Manager PIR builds local knowledge of available services and encourages a recovery orientated approach by these services. Recognition that all PIR services are expected to end with a number of consumers expected to have transitioned to the NDIS by the end of June 2019 is crucial in this role. The Service Manager will facilitate the change management process involved, working closely with the other consortium agencies to ensure the change is managed as well as possible for consumers, family members and workers. A high level of emotional intelligence is required to perform this role well.

CAH PIR has formed collaborative partnerships with a number of non-government organisations to implement the PIR initiative. The ultimate objective of PIR is to improve the system response and outcomes for people with severe and persistent mental illness by:

  • Facilitating better coordination of services;
  • Strengthening partnerships with clinical and community support organisations;
  • Improving referral pathways and advocating for system change to meet individual client needs; and
  • Promoting a community based recovery model to underpin all clinical and community support services
  • And assisting consumers eligible for the NDIS access the NDIS with a package that meets their needs

 

About the Role

  • Full Time, Maximum Term Contract until 30 June 2019
  • Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm roster
  • Prospect location
