Mind is changing its operational structure from regional divisions into three specialised service streams: Sub-acute residential partnership services, Supported independent living and Mind centres. The service stream approach supports our goal to be customer focused in everything we do, ultimately providing the customer with a better Mind experience.
An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join Mind as the Diversity and Inclusion Manager on a full time basis. Reporting to the Executive Director Operations you will be responsible and accountable for:
- building systems of cultural governance
- developing and maintaining a detailed understanding of the workforce diversity profile and demographics (current and future)
- developing the infrastructure necessary to deliver Mind’s diversity strategy
- providing support to the Family & Carer Strategy Committee in their implementation of the 5 organisational Objectives
- collaborating with operational stakeholders and ensuring the establishment and maintenance of effective stakeholder relationships
- collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement plans and initiatives
- developing processes to monitor and measure culture, engagement, retention and the drivers of these variables (i.e. specifically in relation to the diversity of the Mind workforce)
You will have:
- demonstrated experience in a similar role.
- demonstrated understanding of and commitment to quality diversity and inclusion practice in complex organisations
- demonstrated passion and experience in diversity and inclusion areas, e.g.Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, CALD, Disability, Lived Experience & LBGTIQ communities
- demonstrated understanding of the importance of including family and carers into all aspects of practice.
- effective project and event management including coordinating and managing meetings
- demonstrated drive and passion to champion initiatives to progress the diversity and inclusion and family and carer agenda throughout the organisation
- the ability to influence and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including peers, employees, external organisations and government agencies
- strong interpersonal relationship skills
- high level organisational and information management skills
