About the opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for a permanent full-time Coordinator within our Healthy Living for Seniors program, at our Springwood office. You will be responsible for ensuring the healthy living for senior programs are effectively delivered to enhance wellness, independence and social connections for the individual and the family carer.

Key responsibilities include;

• Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with clients, their families and members of the Uniting community
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships within the Nepean, Hawkesbury and Blue Mountains regions
• Managing day programmes
• Managing day programme staff in conjunction with the HLFS Senior Coordinator
• Travel between sites/programmes will be required from time to time
• Ensuring implementation of Healthy Living for Seniors Programs are in line with agreed service delivery model
• Balancing self-management and consumer directed care with duty of care and organisational capacity to deliver services

Essential qualifications

• Certificate IV in Home and Community care, Aged care or equivalent
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence

About you

• Key to the success in this role is demonstrated ability in the below skills and experience;
• Prior experience in a similar role within the Aged Care or Disability Industry
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated understanding of the needs of aged care clients
• Proficient in the use of computer systems and a willingness to learn
• Prior supervisory experience
