Child Safety Expert Wanted for our Child Safety Program Leader Vacancy! 

This exciting opportunity is available for Southern Cross Support Services (SCSS), in our Rockhampton office.
 
SCSS is a licensed care provider that has offices in Bundaberg, Fraser Coast and Rockhampton and offer services in these areas together with Mackay, Emerald, Kingaroy, Brisbane and Gold Coast. Our core business is to provide a range of disability and child Safety services to meet the needs of those that are most vulnerable in our community.
  
With our industry entering the NDIS, the role of Child Safety Team Leader will play a significant part in the way that SCSS will reach its goals and meet their client requirements. The role will be a full-time position.
 
WHAT IS SCSS LOOKING FOR?

Ideally someone that has demonstrated experience working in a child safety management position with exposure to leading teams in a complex and challenging environment, excellent reporting skills to internal and external stakeholders, experience with Human Services Quality Framework and a strong leadership presence across the Service Team. You will have strong business development and stakeholder engagement skills as there is strong growth in the Rockhampton area.
 
Other aspects of the role that are required by the successful person would include: 
  • Strong time management and attention to details
  • Ability to lead a team and provide quality service delivery within those teams
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • Exceptional communication and planning skills, with the ability to problem solve while influencing people to follow the vision
  • Enjoys challenging environments and can meet tight deadlines   
To be a success in this role, you will have: 
  • Cert IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or similar qualification, and experience within the Child Protection sector,
  • The ability to influence and lead a team;
  • Solid people management skills;
  • Understanding and ability to adapt to changing operational requirements;
  • Demonstrated experience in building team culture and establishing customer focused outcomes.
