What you'll be doing:
The Aboriginal Health Worker provides flexible, holistic and culturally sensitive health services to Aboriginal clients and the community, to achieve better health outcomes and better access to health services for Aboriginal people.
 
Where you'll be located:
This position is based at Taree Community Health Service, located in the beautiful Manning Valley region. Only a 3.5 hour drive from Sydney and less from Newcastle, Taree is a popular destination for tourists and people seeking a sea-change. Tourists and residents alike enjoy recreational activities such as swimming, fishing, rowing, sailing and power boating on the stunning Manning River. There are a myriad of local areas and townships to explore such as Wingham, Forster and Old Bar, and with the river, beach, and rainforest all on your doorstep you'll never be short of things to do. It's a great place to raise a family, with an availability of both affordable and luxury housing for those making the move. You will be well supported in your transition into the role, with the AMIHS and BSF teams at Taree Community Heath Service providing a nurturing environment to work in with strong connections to the local Biripi and Tobwabba communities.
