Detail information about job Regional Coordinator - Domestic & Family Violence. Terms and conditions vacancy

Lead our impact in Southern Queensland through a suite of specialist Domestic and Family Violence programs. New refuges are being established throughout the region, and you will play a key role in the implementation of these new services. Oversee teams and develop programs to produce long term change supporting vulnerable women and children experiencing Domestic and Family Violence (DFV).

Save the Children is no ordinary not-for-profit.

We’re ambitious, creative and outspoken. We stand up for children’s rights. We want all children to be educated, healthy and live a life free from violence. We run programs in Australia and overseas and, if there’s a disaster - like an earthquake, drought or conflict - we are there on the ground.

Where you come in:

In this full-time permanent position based in our Brisbane office with frequent travel to DFV Refuges and Shelters, you will oversee the implementation of a specialist program portfolio as it expands to include new refuges. You will lead teams working across multiple refuges providing different levels of support to families escaping DFV; from homelessness, medium response to crisis centres. Working alongside another Regional Coordinator supporting DFV refuges, you will be part of our Australian Programs team and report to our Programs Manager for Southern Queensland.

You will make an impact by:

  • Leading and supporting the practice of the team
  • Developing existing and designing new strategic pathways with the Program Manager
  • Producing business plans, budgets, performance and risk analyses
  • Monitoring and evaluating current programs

If we could compose the perfect you…

… Your inspirational leadership style is reflected in the success of your teams and their projects. Your ability to negotiate and build lasting relationships delivers active engagement with the programs. Your knowledge of the impact of domestic and family violence on women and children and ability to adapt allows you to make well informed decisions in reaction to sudden challenges or crisis.

This role requires:

  • Demonstrated Domestic and Family Violence experience
  • Case management experience and a trauma informed practice framework
  • Proven experience with strategic planning, program management and delivery
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team
  • Current driver’s licence
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Services, Social Sciences, Social Work or related discipline and/or extensive experience in a similar position

Working at Save the Children is more than just a job.

It’s the feeling of knowing that your work is contributing to making the world a better place for children and working with others who feel the same.

What we offer you:

  • Award rate salary plus full salary packaging benefits
  • Professional supervision training and monthly supervision sessions
  • Additional annual leave options
  • Friendly and flexible work environment
  • Learning and development opportunities
