If you are good at creating a therapeutic model for delivering services, comfortable in being the lead person within our organisation to build a trauma-informed approach, and excited at the prospect of putting your stamp on a brand new position, then we want to hear from you!

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the key aspects of this

  • Leading systems change through policy development, strategies and processes that build the capacity of MASP and its staff to operate within a trauma-informed framework;
  • Increase outcomes for clients with complex behaviors;
  • Contribute to the development of evidence-based systems for service delivery;
  • Provide support and critical incident debriefing for staff and carers exposed to direct or vicarious trauma;
  • Contribute to robust clinical governance systems through thematic analysis of client behaviours and trends and developing appropriate interventions and responses;
  • Assist the organisation to ensure we are best supporting the emotional, physical and psychological needs of the children and young people we work with.

Essential:

  1. Strong understanding of trauma informed practice and its relationship to our services
  2. University qualifications in Psychology, Social Work or a relevant related discipline
  3. Previous experience in a leadership role where you influenced positive client outcomes
  4. Demonstrated experience in developing new service models to meet current and emerging trends
  5. Courage and interpersonal skills to initiate, develop, and manage change
  6. Personal drive to succeed and get the job done
  7. Great collaboration skills with clients, work colleagues, other organisations and government departments
