Red Maple Consulting provides assessment, service development and consultancy services throughout Victoria. We are expanding rapidly and looking to employ new staff throughout the West of Victoria. About the role
Red Maple Consulting works closely with the Department of Human Services (DHHS) Multiple and Complex Needs Initiative (MACNI). We provide Comprehensive Client Assessments, Service Plan Development and Care Plan Coordination for people presenting with a range of complex needs including, mental illness, intellectual disability, homelessness, substance use and involvement in the forensic system.
The Role
At this stage the role requires the provision of support to the primary Care Plan Coordinator undertaking Care Coordination. This involves leading and facilitating a number of Care Team meetings in Ballarat typing and distributing minutes and additional tasks such as report writing and exploring service options. It is hoped that the staff within this role will be interested in further developing into these roles, with the potential to take over full Care Plan Coordination of future clients moving forward.
The Care Coordinator works to optimise service provision and does not provide direct services to clients.

Skills and experience
We are looking to fill 2 positions at this time, with one position suitable for a mature masters level graduate and the other position for a qualified and experienced practitioner. Both applicants require a mature disposition, excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent time management and high quality administrative skills.
We work closely with Indigenous communities. All staff employed at Red Maple Consulting will have a respect for Aboriginal culture and Self Determination.
Applicant 1 - Experienced Practitioner Skills and Experience
- Direct experience providing high quality support to people with complex social needs; experience in drug and alcohol, mental health, child protection, justice or homelessness would be highly advantageous
- A sound understanding of intergenerational trauma, social welfare systems and the experience of people impacted by social marginalisation
- Experience leading teams would be highly advantageous
Applicant 2 - New Graduate (or soon to Graduate) Skills and Experience
- Masters level degree, maturity and a willingness to learn and develop as a professional
- Ability to draw on the knowledge of others, respond to mentoring and be open to supervision and constructive feedback
- Previous work experience and an appreciation of professional standards (may be voluntary)
