Reporting to the General Manager Corporate Affairs, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing Bankwest’s Corporate Responsibility strategy, with a focus on Bankwest’s role in society and the way we do business. For FY19, this role will specifically involves the development and execution of a new community investment strategy for Bankwest, as part of the broader Corporate Responsibility plan.

This role also involves the development and implementation of strategies to grow internal awareness of Bankwest’s community investments and the engagement of key external stakeholders to build Bankwest’s reputation and identify opportunities and risks with these key stakeholders.

• A highly experienced technical specialist with a deep understanding of current and future corporate responsibility / sustainability trends and issues.
• Proven knowledge of the social impact sector and complexity of key players, influencers and stakeholders.
• Proven ability to relate to multiple stakeholders and drive results.
• Strong project management skills within complex organisations and operating environments and the ability to execute to plan and within budget.
• Sound commercial skills including negotiation and influencing, managing budgets, communication, managing risk and project accountability.
• High level conceptual and analytical skills, evident business acumen and exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong experience leading and inspiring teams.

What will you be doing?

• Develop a measurement and evaluation framework for monitoring social return on investment of Bankwest’s new community investment portfolio and guide future investment decisions.
• Deliver periodic reporting to Bankwest Executive Leadership Team on corporate responsibility including community investment and related metrics.
• Provide strategic advice on issues that affect communities and, working with the Head of External Communication, develop the relevant Bankwest response.
• Develop and coordinate documentation, processes, policies as required by the GM Corporate Affairs - this includes an annual corporate responsibility business plan, (community) stakeholder engagement plans, stakeholder briefing notes, SOPs, KPIs and dashboards.
• Proactively manage the community investment budget and work with the GM Corporate Affairs and the Finance team to ensure all programs are costed and built into current budget and forward projects in a transparent way.
• Manage Bankwest’s Volunteering program, evolving this in FY19 to better reflect Bankwest’s new way of working and grow skilled volunteering opportunities.
• Lead and inspire a team of specialist including a Senior Manager Community Investment, a Volunteer Program Manager and Community Program Coordinator.
