Community and Wellbeing Manager - what's involved in the role?

The Community and Wellbeing Manager is responsible for managing the operation of the Maroochydore Community Centre and overseeing opportunities, activities and services for our customers that contribute to an active, healthy and fun lifestyle. You will manage the facilitation, coordination and delivery of meals to Suncare customers as well as the development of volunteer programs. You will be responsible for delivering a superior customer experience while also focusing on diversifying revenues and growing profits.

This role is responsible for building and maintaining a valued and well-respected brand while facilitating continuous improvement processes to ensure a high standard of practice and service delivery. As a leader, you will provide mentoring and supervision to your team and oversee the recruitment, induction of staff to ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained.

The Person

As a customer focused and goal oriented professional, you will have demonstrated experience, expertise and competence sufficient to co-ordinate a range of different activities/offerings within a customer setting. Your excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills will allow you to establish, nurture and maintain positive professional relationships with all stakeholders whilst maintaining confidentiality.

You will have experience working in a variety of settings with cultural diverse customers and you will be able to demonstrate effective time management skills and the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks. Having a high-level of computer literacy in MS Office and database management will enable you to work effectively and efficiently.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Management, Social or Human Services, Health or Tourism
  • Experience working within the health or tourism, membership or community industry
  • Current open QLD drivers licence
  • Willingness to attain Criminal History Screenings as required
