About the organisation

The South Eastern Consortium of Alcohol and Drug Agencies (SECADA) provides alcohol and other drug (AOD) services in the South Eastern Catchment. The consortium comprises six experienced organisations with a united commitment to providing opportunities for change and growth in the catchment by reducing AOD use, improving physical and mental health, and reconnecting people to their families and the community.

Since 1973, TaskForce has provided specialist support for people in serious need in Victoria. Our core services focus on addressing social issues of addiction, unemployment, mental health and high risk taking behaviours, supporting our clients to transition back into "mainstream" services and supports.

About the position

TaskForce, as part of the SECADA Consortium, now has an exciting vacancy for a part time Care and Recovery Coordinator to join this client centred team based in Dandenong. The focus of this position is to reduce AOD related harms to forensic and voluntary clients and their families by conducting assessments, coordinating care and recovery treatment plans and providing a range of counselling interventions to assist clients and their family members. Specific experience with forensic clients and clients with family reunification orders will be highly regarded.

You will have a passion for working with people suffering from substance abuse and the ability to build strong rapport with your clients.  Ideally you will have tertiary qualifications in health or welfare, psychology, social work, nursing, counselling or its equivalent and be equipped with a Certificate IV in AOD.

In exchange, we will offer you generous employee benefits such as flexible work arrangements and salary packaging. We also offer an Employee Assistance Program, training and professional development opportunities and the chance to be part of a supportive and inclusive team.
