Working with Children Blue Card essential – or ability to obtain.
Understanding of cultural protocols in Aurukun
Demonstrated ability to use initiative, work independently and as part of a team.
Demonstrated computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft word, publisher, email and the Internet.
Ability to learn how to catalogue artwork and be responsible for cataloguing maintenance.
Ability to learn gallery maintenance and sales procedures and be responsible for maintaining the gallery and sales.
Ability to open and close the Centre independently.
Demonstrated honesty in the workplace.
Demonstrated commitment and reliability in the workplace.
Willingness to learn, undertake professional development and progress in your position with the Centre.
Ability to travel to exhibition when required.
P or O Driver’s Licence is desirable but not essential.
Assist with SAMS Administration:
Sales: Processing of sales and producing reports in
support of petty cash and artists payments to artists
Consignments: producing consignments in support of
distribution of art works to gallery partners
Cataloguing: cataloguing of all art works and artists
tagging and pricing
Marketing Sales: updating centre and council website
as well as social media sites
