About the role:At C&K West End Community Kindergarten, a position has become available for an experienced and qualified Assistant to join their team. As the Assistant, you would be responsible for implementing a quality care and education program for kindergarten aged children in co-operation with the Kindergarten Teacher. This position will be permanent part time and would require you to work 7.5 hours every Thursday and Friday. Ideal applicants will have:

• Certificate lll or Diploma Qualification in Early Childhood (qualification must be recognised by ACECQA).
• Current Paid Blue Card (or willing to obtain one).
• Up to date First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate/s.
• National Police Check issued within the last 3 months (or willing to obtain one).
• Experience assisting in implementing a planned program, ensuring the needs of individual children and the group are met.
• Observant of children's behaviour and development, whilst ability to document accurate observations.
• Able to relate to individuals of various ages, and social and cultural backgrounds.
• Effective team player and ability to support the Director Teacher.
• Awareness of the National Quality Framework and Building Waterfalls Curriculum.
• Prior experience within the early childhood profession is essential.
