The Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) is an independent, not-for-profit educational research and development organisation with over 400 staff located across Australia, India, Indonesia, the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom.
The Online Assessment and Reporting System (OARS) team within ACER’s School Assessment Services unit is seeking an enthusiastic and conscientious Project Officer based in Camberwell, Victoria.
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide telephone and email helpdesk support for schools. The OARS helpdesk offers dedicated technical and product support for over 7000 schools using a range of online assessment programs and resources. Additional responsibility includes a rotating focus area of work such as test development or quality assurance. The position requires working rostered flexible hours during peak times of the year and some Victorian public holidays.
The successful applicant will possess outstanding verbal communication skills, an aptitude for solving problems and using technology, and the ability to multi-task and work effectively under pressure within tight timeframes.
Previous work in a customer service role is preferred and experience working in a primary school will be highly regarded. Applicants must be willing to contribute to a team structure.
The appointment of this position is subject to a South Australia child-related employment screening clearance.
This position is an ongoing full time appointment based in Camberwell, Melbourne. Salary is within the range $73,589 - $81,337 (plus 17% ACER contribution to superannuation).
