Your will:

  • Engage with all parts of the organisation to implement processes for gaining regulatory approval in support of business initiatives.
  • In consultation with relevant parts of the business, collaborate in the development of regulatory applications and responses to requests and notifications from regulators
  • Contribute to the development of regulatory applications and notifications as required, according to the requirements of the regulator.
  • Participate in internal compliance reviews.
  • Manage the process of external audits, including managing preparation for the audit, and managing internal arrangements for the conduct of the audit.
  • In consultation with colleagues in the compliance team, and relevant parts of the business, contribute to responses to regulatory audit reports.
  • Maintain processes to ensuring the integrity, validity, and reliability of the organisation’s data, across all student management and learning management systems.
  • According to requisite timeframes, ensure statutory data reporting requirements are met in a timely fashion.
  • In cooperation with relevant parts of the business, investigate stakeholder complaints and make recommendations for resolution.

  As the ideal candidate, you will bring: 

  • Proven knowledge and practical experience of Higher Education compliance
  • Practical experience working within the HEIMS system
  • Knowledge of PRISMS would be advantageous
  • A thorough understanding of the regulatory framework for education providers in Australia, including the:
  1. TEQSA Act 2011,
  2. Higher Education Standards Framework 2015
  3. Education Legislation Amendment (Provider Integrity and Other Measures) Act 2017
  4. Higher Education Support Act 2003,
  5. ESOS Framework,
  6. National Code of Practice, and Australian Qualifications Framework
  • A passion for academic quality assurance and the direct impact on students
  • The ability to self-direct, motivate and prioritise
  • An aptitude for developing effective working relationships across all levels and often remotely
  • A fluidity in your approach to work; you will collaborate in order to achieve positive outcomes in evolving business and regulatory environments
  • Able to work effectively and thoroughly at a detailed level to understand regulatory obligations, identify areas of possible non-compliance, and develop recommendations and/or processes as appropriate, in rectification.
