Hamilton Island has a vacancy for an experienced and qualified Childcare Assistant to join our team at Hamilton Island Kindy. Working with the youngest residents of Hamilton Island requires dedication, flexibility and a disposition to match the year round sunshine! 

About the Role

• Work across our Nursery and Kindy rooms
• Assist the Group Leaders and Director in running programs that create a stimulating and interactive learning environment
• Interact with children in order to nurture their natural development and raise their self–esteem
• Make every day fun so learning happens effortlessly
• Preparation and service of food and beverages as required
• Hamilton Island Kindy is open from Monday to Friday - 8am to 5.30pm
• Live on island role

About You

• Cert III in Childrens Services as a minimum requirement
• Current Senior First Aid Certificate & CPR
• 2 years of practical experience in the children's services industry
• Queensland Blue Card for working with children
• Current immunisations
• Genuine passion for children, with an enthusiastic and happy nature
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
