The Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join the Northern Regions Operations Division, based in Acacia Ridge in the role of Technical Training Instructor. You will be responsible for supporting the planning and facilitating the delivery of all technical training provided to Dealers in the region in order to contribute to the Fix it Right philosophy, Dealership profitability, guest satisfaction and business targets for Toyota over the short, medium and long term.

Pivotal to your success is your ability to be a people person, having the drive to help people, self-starter, exceptional time management and organisational skills.

What will you do?
  • Deliver agreed technical training, follow agreed processes and strategies, in order to achieve Dealer efficiencies and Toyota for Life objectives
  • Assist in the development of processes and procedures for technical training
  • Assist management with ensuring that Toyota and Lexus technical training activities across the region are effective, flexible and in response to need
  • Support the provision of specialist training delivered to the region
  • Maintain reporting systems in order to provide the business with accurate and timely information to support planning, budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Support the liaison with Dealers to identify current and future technical training needs and develop training plans

What we are looking for:
  • Automotive Technician Trade Qualification or equivalent experience
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment
  • 2+ years’ accumulative experience
  • Understanding of the Dealer network desirable
  • Understanding of the automotive industry desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to motivate and gauge an audience
