Our Client
Our Client is a Reputable Community Focused, For Purpose organisation passionate about empowering individuals and communities through their commitment to make a difference by providing opportunity. A rare and exciting opportunity has become available for a skilled and experienced Trainer to join the welcoming and supportive team in Alice Springs.
The successful applicant must be able to train / assess in Certificate III Individual Support and Certificate II in Community Services with additional support to Indigenous workers and staff in community based aged care facilities.
The Position
Delivering customer focused courses, your responsibilities will include:
- Deliver all aspects of accredited training and assessment in accordance with Australian Core Skills Framework and the Australian Qualifications Framework specifications
- Assist with development, design and implementation of training programs and activities
- Utilise training resources provided, whilst adapting to client needs and providing flexible learning delivery
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure client numbers, attendance targets and training delivery hours are met
- Participate in agreed community activities, functions and meetings to build community partnerships and contribute to the success of the program
- Provide input into the review and updating of training program activities
- Apply a broad range of communication styles and methods to ensure effective understanding of clients in the training program
- Capture and record all data in relevant record keeping systems, ensuring compliance and consistency
- Train, assess and support students onsite in facilities during work placement
- Mark student assessments and give constructive feedback
The Successful Applicant
To be considered for this opportunity you must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a TAE40110 or TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Hold a Certificate in Aged Care, Disability and Mental Health
- Applicants who are/ have been a RN are highly regarded
- Demonstrated 5+ years’ experience delivering Community Services courses or working in the Disability industry
- Demonstrated knowledge in the achievement of client learning outcomes and high level client participation, retention and completion rates
- Effective and flexible training delivery style that delivers positive outcomes across disadvantaged and culturally diverse clients
- Hold a Current First Aid Certificate
- Hold or have the ability to hold Blue and Yellow Card
Please note the successful applicant is required to undertake a Pre-Employment Medical Assessment.
Applicants must have the ability to produce Rights to Work in Australia, complete a Police Check and have a current Drivers Licence. Applicants must also be willing to travel to Remote Locations.
