Haileybury is seeking a Sessional Teacher, VET Digital Media (to deliver Cert III in Screen & Media) at its Keysborough campus. This is a fixed-term, part-time position commencing as soon as possible.
General Responsibilities
Teachers should ensure:
- Their delivery of the curriculum caters for students with varying learning styles and ensures best practice in pedagogy
- They keep up-to-date with modern teaching practices within their subject area
- They use appropriate learning styles
- They use a variety of assessment tasks for students to experience success and accurately assess levels of student achievement
- They attend relevant professional development sessions within their subject area.
Key Selection Criteria
- Must be familiar with the delivery of CUA20215 Certificate II in Creative Industries, and CUA31015Certificate III in Screen and Media within a VETis program
- Must be able to demonstrate vocational competency equivalent to the certificate being delivered
- Must be able to demonstrate industry currency
- Be prepared to undertake professional development in their vocational area
- A strong understanding of occupational health and safety issues
- Familiarity with the use of information and learning technology in teaching
- Excellent administration and time-management skills
- Ability to lead, manage and form a rapport with students and build collaborative working relationships
- Ability to manage pastoral issues through effective dialogue and process – staff, students and parents
- Employee Working With Children Check Card or VIT Registration
- Strong verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills
