As a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer, you will teach in the undergraduate and postgraduate programs offered by the Law Faculty and conduct high quality research of national and/or international standing. You will contribute to teaching and educational development and engage with new learning approaches that integrate the best of online and face-to-face on-campus learning.

Responsibilities include:
•Teaching in undergraduate and postgraduate programs as required. All academics are expected to be available for teaching in core subjects. The Faculty has particular needs in Foundations of Law, Ethics Law and Justice, Remedies, Real Property, and Corporate Law and would also welcome applicants able to offer Contracts, Evidence, Commercial, Administrative Law, or Civil Practice.
•Undertaking research and publishing in high quality peer-reviewed journals
•Supervising Honours, Masters, and Doctoral level research students
•Fostering collegiate and effective team-work in the delivery of teaching programs and student co-curricular programs
•Contributing to faculty and university administration and external engagement.

To be successful for a Lecturer (Level B) role you will have:
•Doctorate in Law or related discipline. Candidates who can demonstrate satisfactorily to the appointment panel that submission of their doctoral thesis is on track for submission within 12 months of an offer are also welcome to apply.
•Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor
•Recent successful teaching experience in law school or equivalent
•Experience in research as demonstrated by publications and / or research grants, or clear evidence of capacity to develop a strong research track
•Capacity to develop teaching and research expertise and skills
•Capacity to undertake academic administration
•Experience of working collegially.

To be successful for a senior lecturer (Level C) role, you will also have:
•Awareness of key issues in higher education and research as relevant to the Faculty and the law discipline
•Experience in research sufficient to establish a national or international reputation.
•Evidence of emerging leadership in teaching, research, service, and/or external engagement, including the design and delivery of innovative postgraduate and professional offerings.

Remuneration

Salary Range:
Level B: $101,932 -$116,641p.a
Level C: $123,911 - $138,453p.a

This appointment will be on a continuing full-time basis.
