Opportunities currently exist for enthusiastic, reliable and energetic trainer assessor to deliver our training services to our students within the building and construction industry. Our training organisation delivers on-site training and assessment to students throughout Victoria.

We currently have positions available for Trainer Assessors in the Clayton, VIC area.

The successful candidate must be qualified and have completed: 

1. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or Equivalent
2. Certificate III in Painting and Decorating
3. Painting and Decorating industry experience
4. VET professional development

Key Responsibilities :

• Prepare for and deliver training to VET students;

• Assess learner needs and provide additional support to students

• Play an active part in suggesting, organising and assisting with additional resources; such as online forums, webinars, podcasts, online tutorials and workshops

• Regularly monitor and record student participation and course progress

• Maintain an ongoing program of professional development that satisfies both regulatory requirements and personal expectation as a professional VET trainer

• Participate in student and course evaluations and reviews, moderation and validation sessions

Selection Criteria :

1. A passion for teaching and an understanding of the needs of VET students
2. An understanding of the regulations and guidelines, as outlined in the National Code and RTO Standards
3. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to interact with people from diverse backgrounds
4. Experience in Microsoft Office programs and a high-level of computer literacy
5. A current Working With Children and satisfactory Police Check;
6. Current Drivers Licence
7. Be a Permanent Resident of Australia.
