A rewarding opportunity has become available for an experienced manager to lead a team in a busy professional environment to contribute to the objectives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander higher education through sensitive and effective practices.

What you’ll do

As the College Services Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the day to day operations of the College’s Professional staff as well as developing and implementing strategic and operational planning activities within the College.

Reporting to the Faculty Executive Manager (Business, Education, Law and Arts), you will apply your considerable expertise to:

  • Manage the provision of operational, administration, executive and management support services across activities within the College;
  • Lead College-related projects and work closely with the Head of College on broader issues affecting professional staff members;
  • Develop continuous improvement initiatives by proactively reviewing work processes and liaising with relevant stakeholders; and
  • Collate and analyse a range of University information and data to produce high level reports/acquittals for consideration by senior management.
 

What will help you succeed?

Your success in this pivotal role will rely on your ability to build effective relationships with a diverse range of clients along with your knowledge of local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and communities.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Progress towards postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline with extensive work experience in a service delivery environment or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/ training;
  • Demonstrated ability to provide strategic advice and an extensive knowledge of the higher education sector;
  • Inspired leadership qualities and experience in mentoring and empowering your team to achieve individual success and contribute to team goals and objectives; and
  • High level commitment to integrity and behaviour that aligns with University values.

Salary:  Total remuneration range $108 589 to $124 692 pa (includes salary range of $91 755 to $105 361 pa, employer superannuation contributions of 17% of salary and annual leave loading)
