The position:

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated individual to play a vital part in the Drive for Life Program. As the Coordinator, you will be responsible for all operations of the Drive for Life Program for young people primarily aged 16-25. This includes recruiting/screening suitable clients, organise driving instructor lessons, following a structured program model, building the capacity of the program through volunteers and establishing collaborative partnerships with community stakeholders to fulfil the clients’ drivers’ licence requirements.

To be successful:

  • An appreciation of and the ability and willingness to promote and support the values and ethos of The Salvation Army.
  • WHS – knowledge of work health safety obligations and to practice these in the workplace in line with TSA policy & procedures and legislation.
  • Tertiary or other qualifications within Community Services, Social Work or similar discipline, or extensive relevant experience with a minimum of Diploma qualifications.
  • Current Drivers’ licence.
  • Evidence of further professional development and extensive knowledge in legislative requirements that govern this type of environment.
  • Willingness to undergo a National Criminal History check.
  • Current Working with children check
