Set in the heart of the city of Orange in the central west of New South Wales, at the centre of NSW’s famous cool-climate wine region, Kinross Wolaroi School can trace its educational history back 130 years. Today it is a leading co-educational school of 1100 students, proud of its status as one of Australia’s largest and most successful boarding schools, with capacity for 350 boarders in Years 7-12.
In the new role of Deputy Principal, the appointee will be the Principal’s chief delegate in overseeing the day-to-day academic, pastoral and co-curricular operations of the School from ELC to Year 12. As Head of Senior School, the Deputy Principal will also be responsible for the effective leadership of students and teachers in Years 7 to 12.
The right person will be able to work independently under the broad direction of the Principal, and have outstanding levels of initiative and attention to detail in planning, prioritising and achieving results. Also sought are a commitment to ongoing professional learning, demonstrated sympathy with the faith life of a Uniting Church school, an understanding of issues affecting regional and rural communities, and experience in a boarding environment.
