Your new role

The key responsibility of this role is to provide guidance and assistance to all School of Education staff in optimising the use of learning technologies and to assist with the resolution of technical issues relating to these technologies. You will provide first-point-of-contact for the schools' learning management systems in addition to learning technology queries. The role will provide guidance and assistance to academic staff in optimising the use of digital technologies for learning.

As a Learning Technologies Support Officer, you will be required to analyse, diagnose and solve issues and prevent user problems associated with technical support of learning and teaching technologies including Blackboard, Bb Collaborate and Echo360. You will also be required to provide a high quality, customer-focused service, adopting a proactive approach to encourage the use of technologies in ways that will enhance the teaching and learning experience, so the ability to communicate clearly with staff and students is vital to the role. 

You will bring to the role

To be successful you should have completed a tertiary qualification with relevant experience or an equivalent combination of extensive relevant experience and education/training. 

To excel in this role, you must demonstrate a practical understanding and proficiency in using online information platforms and associated on-line technologies. Experience in website design, social media, blogs and other online communication tools would also be beneficial. 

You will have a proven ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines with excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal. Highly developed interpersonal skills to communicate and interact effectively and professionally with staff and students at all levels and in all situations is essential. 

Previous experience in supporting Learning Management Systems for online teaching is desirable.

The salary ranges presented are those contained within the University's Enterprise Agreements; as are the employee benefits which include employer superannuation contribution at the rate of the current Government Superannuation Guarantee amount up to 17 per cent, study assistance, a comprehensive salary packaging and wellness programs and flexible and family-friendly work practices.
