Learning and Capability Lead

The role of the Learning and Capability Lead is to work with the Departments Customer Experience Platform (CxP) Program to drive and quality assure the delivery of learning services to the Department from a services provider in line with the strategic outcomes of the Program and the organisational standards for learning. 

Key responsibilities:- 
  • Lead and manage a geographically distributed team in partnership with a Service Provider Lead counterpart. 
  • Drive delivery of the learning program in accordance with the Learning Strategy, Approach and the departments learning and capability standards.
  • Provide regular status reports and represent the Learning and Capability stream in key forums.
  • Define an ongoing learning model for sustainability and re-use.
  • Identify and manage risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders across the business and provide regular updates to the team.
  • Work within the budgetary constraints of the Program to deliver outcomes.
  • Review all work products from the services provider for quality, accuracy and adherence to the departments strategic needs.
  • The person in this role will be supported by a Technical Writer, as well as, a large team from a learning services provider. 
Selection Criteria:- 
  • This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail and influencing skills that will suit a proactive and outgoing self-starter.
  • Subject matter expertise in delivering SAP learning programs.
  • Solid project management skills and a strong ‘can do’ approach is essential.
  • Essential is a qualification in adult learning, capability development or organisational change management
  • At least 7-10 years’ experience in leading teams (direct reports and resources in cross matrix structures).
