If your answered "Yes" to the above questions, then this Area Manager/Employment & Training consultant role could be for you!

About the Role

We currently seek an experienced, results-focused Employment & Training Consultant who will be responsible for the recruitment and induction of Apprentices and Trainees who you will match to meet the requirements of host companies. Your duties will include the provision of ongoing mentoring and support of apprentices; conducting regular visits and monitoring of host sites, ensuring that all assessments are completed against set deadlines as well as promoting industry career pathways, through the utilisation of your existing networks with various educational organisations and the development of customised training plans. The position also requires you to use your business develop skills to build a network of organisations that are willing to take on apprentices.

About You

To succeed in this busy and challenging role you will have a highly professional presence, a good understanding of the apprenticeship system and sound knowledge of apprenticeship group training. You will be a person who thrives in a proactive service driven environment, is seen by your clients as a trusted adviser to their business and is able to consistently demonstrate strong business relationship management skills.

Experience within a Group Training Organisation (GTO), ASSN is highly desirable; alternatively, you may have previous experience building business opportunities within a broader recruitment and labor hire role.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

  • Able to mentor and understand the youth of today;
  • Proven history / ability in relationship building and / or strong evidence of managing long term B2B relationships;
  • Understand what is need to recruit and build a pool of organisation skills;
  • Highly results driven business development skills;
  • Highly articulate with advanced written and verbal communication skills;
  • Respected by colleagues and clients for your integrity and professionalism;
  • Exceptional internal and external stakeholder management skills;
  • Able to think strategically and act tactically;
  • Sound administration and communication skills; and
  • is able to follow policy and procedures and meet tight deadlines.

You will also hold a Certificate III in Occupational Health or must be willing to gain this qualification within an agreed timeframe.
