Tradewind is currently recruiting for a graduate Teaching assistant for a Secondary school based in the borough of Wandsworth. This exciting position is available to start in September 2018 or January 2019 until the end of the school year, July 2019.

The school is a proud and successful training school and any candidate that they feel go above and beyond, will be offered a position on their Schools Direct or Teacher Training programs. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to become a fully qualified teacher, whilst gaining education experience and outstanding support from their school. 

The ideal candidate will be:

  • An eager graduate who is looking to make a positive difference with students.
  • Someone who will follow direction well, as they will be given tasks and targets from the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Someone who has a passion for working with students, and is ideally looking to become a teacher in the near future.


Candidates will be expected to:

  • Supervise students in the classroom.
  • Complete tasks given to you by teachers and your line manager.
  • Conduct a homework club twice weekly.
  • Be open to working with students with special educational needs.
  • Be flexible to take on tasks that are not necessarily attributed to a Teaching Assistant.
  • Be punctual and communicate effectively.

The school is a non-denominational, all-ability, co-educational, all girls secondary school for 11 to 18-year-olds. They specialise in creative & digital media and information technology. They inspire pride and confidence in their students to achieve their full potential. Everyone in the Academy is responsible for modelling a positive and professional attitude at all times.
