A replacement position has become available for a replacement 0.6FTE Primary Music Specialist commencing as soon as possible in Term 3, 2018. This is an opportunity to join a vibrant and energetic staff on a Campus that is experiencing growth in both enrolment and facilities. The School prides itself on constantly improving teaching and learning with fresh and dynamic curriculum initiatives and is seeking a passionate educator keen to work closely with the Head of Primary and the Head of Music - Preparatory to Year 12, teaching and delivering innovative programs in the Primary School.
This position may be further advertised as on an ongoing basis in 2019.
The ideal applicant will be experienced in preparing and delivering an exciting Music Program for Foundation to Year 6 students. Other duties include managing co-curricular music lessons and ensembles, providing opportunities for instrumental and voice performance and directing the Primary Musical Production. The successful applicant will be working with the Head of Music to ensure that Primary students are well catered for in all areas of the Music Program. The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic educator of young people with a keen interest in developing students’ skills and knowledge.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Proven ability in Primary Years teaching, piano accompaniment, (preferred)
- Explores and initiates all possibilities for providing a full range of instrumental and vocal performance experiences for children from Foundation to Year 6, both within and beyond the Campus;
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Proven ability in conducting vocal, instrumental and string ensembles
- Brings a love of learning, enthusiasm and creativity to their work.
